Dr. Michele Bolognini

Michele Bolognini graduated in Automation Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2019, with a thesis on “LiDAR-based navigation of tethered drones formations in an unknown environment”. He then carried out a Ph.D. in Information Technology at SAS-Lab with an interdisciplinary scholarship, working on condition monitoring of the built environment with multicopter networks. His research topics included: high level multicopter control, multi-agent motion planning and coordination, vision-based measurement techniques and multi-spectral image analysis. He defended his PhD thesis titled “Path Planning for  Multicopter Networks and Applications to the Condition Monitoring of the Built Environment” on February 24th, 2023.
