Roberto Boffadossi earned a MSc in Automation and Control Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2020 with the thesis “On hierarchical routing control in discrete manufacturing plants”. After the studies, during 2021, he worked as research fellow at DEIB (Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering) of Politecnico di Milano, on the project “Advanced control techniques for smart factories”. Actually, he is a research fellow at STIIMA institute of CNR (National Research Council of Italy), involved in the European project “E2COMATION”, and he is a Ph.D. candidate in Information Technology at DEIB-Politecnico di Milano, under the direction of Prof. Lorenzo Fagiano. His current research topics focuse on learning and optimization-based techniques for process modelling and for improving energy efficiency in manufacturing plants
