SAS-lab at Torque 2026!

Dr. Filippo Trevisi and Andrea Bertozzi recently traveled to Bruges, Belgium, to present the lab’s latest research at the Torque 2026 conference and connect with the global wind energy community.

Both presentations took center stage during the Airborne Wind Energy theme session:

  • Dr. Filippo Trevisi shared a one-degree-of-freedom model designed for power curve estimation of fly-gen AWES.

  • Andrea Bertozzi presented findings on the quasi-steady simulations and optimization of the pumping cycle for soft-wing ground-generation AWES, a collaborative effort with Delft University of Technology and Kitepower.
