Filippo received the PhD in Aerospace Engineering in Politecnico di Milano (2024) with the thesis “Conceptual design of windplanes”. Before starting the PhD, he worked for one year as research assistant at the Aerodynamic Design Section in DTU Wind Energy, focusing on the multidisciplinary design and optimization of wind turbine blades. Previously, he earned a MSc Degree in Aerospace Engineering at University of Padova, Italy (2019) and a MSc Degree in Wind Energy at the Technical University of Denmark (2019). He gained experience on the dynamic modelling of aerospace systems (sounding rockets and CubeSats) during student projects and on the structural analysis of wind turbine blades working as student assistant at the Wind Turbine Structures and Component Design Section in DTU Wind Energy.
