The paper, authored by Kristoffer Løwenstein, Daniele Bernardini, Lorenzo Fagiano and Alberto Bemporad, presents a Moving Horizon Estimaiton approach to concurrently estiamte the state of a dynamical system and the parameters of a black-box subsystem that is part of an otherwise physics-based (white box) model.
