Giacomo Farinella received his M.Sc. in Automation and Control Engineering cum laude from Politecnico di Milano in December 2025, with the thesis “Development of a local planning algorithm for smooth merging segments in autonomous racing”, developed in collaboration with the PoliMove Autonomous Racing Team.

He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Politecnico di Milano under the supervision of Prof. Lorenzo Fagiano and Dr. Edoardo Pasta, working on Model Predictive Control for systems subject to periodic disturbances.
